Catching Jordan Discussion, Pages 211 - 281
*SPOILERS* (duh)
I have to say I was really really surprised with the ending of Catching Jordan (meaning the last 70 pages) And by surprised I do not mean that there was a huge spin, it was fairly predictable, but I had practically lost hope with it and was expecting this huge downhill event that would make me want to throw it against the wall before things got fixed. No, that was not the case, after the first three part is slowly started to redeem itself. Jordan started to come to her senses and it wasn't horribly torturous to watch, I actually enjoyed it and I was very satisfied with how things ended.
I did not love it. I liked it. But I liked it enough to try another of Kenneally's books.
General Thoughts?
I was slightly bothered by how quick things seemed to happen. One minute there was one thing and then another, with how Ty's relationship goes, how it ends, supposedly deep conversations in which I should've felt sad for Jordan, but it all happened so fast that I had no opportunity to actually feel sad. She would start crying and 5 lines later she was all good again! Or like when she looses her virginity, I take it that it wasn't supposed to be a big deal, that the author tried to make it more... like a normal event? I don't know, I just think there could have been better ways to show that 'no big deal' feeling.
It was a good story, but I think the writing could have been better, and would have helped A LOT to improve the story.
To anyone who has read Catching Jordan, Yay or Nay :P?
