Summary:
Something some power is blooming inside Laurel. She can use flowers to do things. Like bringing back lost memories. Or helping her friends ace tests. Or making people fall in love.
Laurel suspects her newfound ability has something to do with an ancient family secret, one that her mother meant to share with Laurel when the time was right. But then time ran out.
Clues and signs and secret messages seem to be all around Laurel at Avondale School, where her mother had also boarded as a student. Can Laurel piece everything together quickly enough to control her power, which is growing more potent every day? Or will she set the stage for the most lovestruck, infamous prom in the history of the school?

My Review:
My Review is a bit short but I got some friends to help, you'll see ;)
'Kay so, I couldn't get into the book, I just really couldn't. I wanted to quit so badly so many times but somehow I forced myself to keep reading. Why? because it wasn't a bad book. it just wasn't for Me. I've known about the meaning of flowers for a very long time and when I saw the book and read the summary I intermediately wanted to read it, it really sounded like something I would enjoy and that it would be amazing.
It wasn't amazing. It was for younger people.
No epic romance, no super action, just a fifteen year old girl that I honestly couldn't help picturing her more like a twelve year old in my mind, she just acted that way. I think it works best for yournger audiences :/
As for the help from 2 friends: I have very very few friends that read in English and, curiously, if there's a book we've read in common, it's this one and here's what they thought:
"Flowers? Seriously? What's that! that sounds so lame xD lol, I just, I can't believe flowers are a superpower, not even that, the meaning. it just sounds like... Stupid."
-Elaine
"I thought the story was really cute, who doesn't love flowers? and I had no idea about the meaning of them, the flower meaning list at the end was also really nice"
-Mayra
I would not recomend it, really. It's not much of a Young Adult book... the only reason I do keep the books it's for the Flower Meaning list by the end which Mayra mentioned. But you can find it online.
Totally agree with you.I read this a while back
