Summary:
Veronica Cruz has been through hell and back. After disconnecting with the world two years ago to be at the side of her dying mother, she’s left alone, unemployed, overweight, and feeling a decade older than her twenty-eight years. When her best friend coaxes her into joining the local gym to ditch her depression and rejuvenate her life, she meets Noah. Assigned to help Veronica lose weight, Noah is everything she expected a young trainer to be—perfectly chiseled, supportive and motivating. Add to that, he’s incredibly sexy. He’s everything she’s ever looked for in a man. What she least expected was for him to fall for her, but he has. There's just one glaring problem: Noah is eight years younger.
Noah Quintanilla has his eye on a boxing title—someday. Down for a few months with an injury, his maintenance-boy pay at 5th Street Gym won't cut it. He’s finally given the opportunity to train. The catch? His trainee is an out-of-shape woman with a free week pass. Taking on the challenge, Noah stumbles into one of the closest friendships he’s ever known, and before he knows it, he’s in love. But Veronica’s not having it—the age difference is too much. Their platonic relationship means having to watch her date other men—something that would make him crazy. Believing he's the man for her, Noah sets out to prove that age is but an illusion, and there's more to him than just a number.

My Review:
Wow, my favorite Elizabeth Reyes book so far, I couldn't/can't get the story out of my head, I just Love Elizabeth Reyes books. I'll stop my babbling and I'll start telling you about the book:
Roni has had a rough year, she lost her mother and gained a lot of pounds, she also lost her social life and work and gained, well, even more pounds. So in an attempt to get her old life and self back she decides to start with her weight. She goes to a gym and she gets a trainer: Meet Noah *sigh/swoon* Noah who is sexy, smart, an excellent trainer and young - a bit too young for Roni. After weeks of daily training, amazing progress from Roni and great support from Noah, naturally, emotions start to build. But Roni is decided to not anything happen between her and Noah because of Age differences, and Noah is determined to prove to Roni that he is mature enough and the perfect guy for her. And then the fun begins.
This is the first book I read that follows this storyline, you usually hear about guys being way older but in this book it's the opposite! our Female Lead character is older and I Loved the story, I had so much fun following both characters. Roni was sometimes a bit too stubborn with the age thing but you couldn't help but understand her, her concerns were natural. And Noah, wow, Noah! he was a great character, he was committed and sexy and disciplined and sexy and sweet and sexy.
I only wish it had been longer, I really enjoyed reading it. Like all Elizabeth Reyes novels, we have hot Latin guys and really great support characters that will be getting their own spotlight, I cannot wait for the rest of the rest of the 5fth Street Series. I Totally Recommend it!
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned my whole life, time and age are but an illusion.”
