Summary:
What girl wouldn't want
to be surrounded by the sexy guys from the hottest teen rock sensation
in the country? 18-year-old Never "Neve" Knight, not only is surrounded
by the hottest boys to hit the music charts, but she is the band's lead
singer. As the band's lead singer and manager, Never formed and shaped
the band to where it is today, a band on the rise and on the brink of
being signed by a label. As one of the guys, she knew each of the band
members since they were all snot-nose ten-year-olds. While her boys were
the cutest guys and they would protect her like knights, she couldn't
date any one of them and ruin the chance at being signed with the record
label of her dreams.
That changes when one of the band members suddenly drops out of the band, and in walks Danny Blue, with his dreamy blue eyes, hot body, and British accent. Suddenly, Never's solid world has turned to mush, and her rule for not dating one of her band members is seriously challenged. Can she keep her head straight and get her band signed with a label without losing her heart?

My Review:
I have only read one previous work from Kailin Gow. I read Saving You, Saving Me, which I really enjoyed, but Never Say Never I loved :3
I really liked Neve as a character, and I could also imagine that her music and voice were like the ones from the band The Pretty Reckless - I love that band. Never Say Never had a great paced and it was highly entertaining, but also - like all Kailin Gow books are - it carries a message: Woman Power. Not in a 'extremely feminist' sort of way, but more in a 'You're a woman and you should always be treated with respect, and it's your body, you decide.' It actually has a note from the author at the beginning of the book addressing this. I really like the way she addresses important issues along with interesting and original stories. The way she intertwines her stories really allows her messages to show.
Never Say Never had great elements: Hot guys, rock and roll, and THE hot guy Danny Blue - I actually didn't love him so much in the first book, on the second one though, madly in love. And he has an accent. A HOT British accent - But he also has secrets of his own, and he is hurting inside, badly. Neve swore she was never going to get involved with anyone from the band, but Danny's sad eyes are hard to resist, worse, the other members of the band want her. How do you gently break their hearts without breaking the band (and the work of her life) either?
Fast paced, with a beautiful understanding of what music is, feels and where it can take you. I'd recommend Never Say Never to anyone, it was a great book :)

Summary:
Welcome to Never Land, the land of Never and the world of rock, the world of new experiences and sensations, a world where music runs through the veins of the dedicated, and love is taken and given with consequences.
Never (Neve) Knight, the lead singer and manager of a band filled with the hottest guys in rock finally gets the dream that she wanted: a label signing her band The Never Knights. It is what she always wanted, a band of her own and playing her own kind of music. Getting her band to where it was came at a high price, including giving up the man who makes her heart race and her blood pound, the man who caused her to nearly lose her band.
As she gets ready to go on her world tour, fate brings her close to Danny Blue again, and she's not sure if she can give him up a second time even if it means losing the band.
Look for the music video coming soon from the producers of music sensation Kina Grannis for the Never Say Never Series with an important message for men and women.

My Review:
Never Land was the one of those strange books were the sequel is actually better than the first book. First, I have to say that I had really weird feelings towards Danny. I liked him more, but I also disliked him more... which makes no real sense. There were just so many things revolving around him (good and bad ones) and even if he wasn't on my list of favorites, all of the things we got to see of him, the situations he has been through and more of his past, the more I sympathized with him and the more I liked him. He basically won me over in this book. I am officially Team Danny now.
Apart from being Team Danny, I think Never Land went a bit further on the 'Woman Power' aspect. Like how the Geoff situation turned out (I hate the guy.). He turned out to be bad-sh**-crazy. In this aspect I would've liked to see Neve stand up a bit more for herself, a little bit more stronger and empowering. I still admired her though.
Never Say Never was the band's and Neve's struggle trying to make it big, the band's inner conflicts and such. In Never Land, they are already living the dream, or at least really close to it. And when you're so high in your pedestal or on the cover of Rolling Stone, mistakes and the 'little band conflicts' are not that little anymore. Bad PR is not something an ascending band wants. Stakes are high and everything's fragile, including Danny and Neve's relationship. An amazing sequel! Cannot wait for the third book :D!
