My Review:
Life on the edge was such an original novel – Scating, how cool is that? I had never read a book that circled around this topic. I’ve seen Ice Princess but the technical details, the pressure and the movements are not really explained in it. I even had to google some of the movements, I love details :3

Life on the Edge was a really cute romance. Skating is a beautiful sport and between the stress and the falls Emily finds time for romance with none other than her coach. Which in all honesty sounds swoon-worthy, but it’s against the rules – obviously. I had a bit of trouble with this parts… Being inside Emily’s mind at the beginning would sometimes be a bit annoying. The more into the book I got though, the easier it was to relate to her and like her.
Another small detail was that the book was really rushed in the beginning, but it also eventually found its pace. Emily’s and Sergei’s relationship had time to develop and to go through its bumps. I really really liked this about the book; no I-see-you you-see-me and we’re soul mates sort of thing. There was time for them to fall head over heels and for it to be tense and awkward little moments during the ‘we are not supposed to be together’ phase.
Great characters, great settings and a perfect weekend romance read, Life on the Edge is a great book for all YA Contemporary lovers, it will stay on your mind for days.
