This book has insanely positive reviews and a lot of people have recommended it to me. I was really surprised when I bought it, the book is so thick! I must read it soon to find out what all the hype is about.

and I also got Fifty Shades Of Grey... again. I lend my copy to a friend and she spilled a red colored drink all over it so she bought me a new one.....  I'm still grumpy for the fact that she ruined my book >.< you know hat they say 'Every girl is capable of murder if you hurt her [books]' -.-

1. In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
Daphne: I watch copious amounts of television! I also love to shop, eat out and spend time with my friends and boyfriend.

Ali: I am a big TV watcher too.  I love Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, True Blood and other such supernatural TV shows.  Also love going to the cinema and having games nights with my fiance and my friends!

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!

Daphne & Ali: Two unique bloggers, all genres covered. We not only do reviews, but feature covers, memes, videos, giveaways and general book-squeeing!

3. A Fruit. A Vegetable. A Soda

Daphne: Cherries. Broccoli. Iced Tea (fizzy drinks make my mouth go funny).

Ali: Raspberries. Carrots. Diet coke!

4. Subject A comes from under a rock and finds Subject B and wants a recommendation for a good book. What should Subject B recommend?

Daphne: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It's got everything I love in a book and more: superb writing, amazing POV character, humour and heart. If you haven't read it yet, you are missing out!

Ali: Difficult question.  Waaay too many.  So I'll cheat and go for two.  The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Divergent by Veronica Roth.  Both epically awsome stories that started my love of all things dystopia.

5. Upcoming release you are most exited about?

Daphne: The Serpent's Shadow by Rick Riordan, probably because I'm waiting for my pre-order to make it's way through the mail as I write this. The final book in The Kane Chronicles series, which mixes Egyptian Mythology with modern day YA adventure. Rick Riordan is a master at this, I wish he was around when I was a kid!

Ali: Again... too many to pick from.  But I would have to say The Traitor Queen by Trudi Canavan.  The third and final book in the Traitor Spy trilogy that I have been waiting (inpatiently) for over a year for now..  I love traditional fantasy and Trudi is one of my favourite authors.  Her Black Magician Trilogy is one of my favourites and this new series is seriously awsome too.  I need to know how it ends!!

6. YA Character you have the biggest crush on?

Daphne: Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games series. I even made a website tribute to him while waiting for Mockingjay to come out! I still wish he was played by another actor in the movies though *coughHunterParrishcough*, but as long as they stay true to his awesomeness, then I'm happy.

Ali: Oh this is easy.  Prince Ash from the awsome Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa.  Who doesn't love a brooding faery prince!! 

7. and now a detailed description of your blog :)

Daphne & Ali: Between Ali and I, we manage to cover most genres out there, so if you like Paranormal, Fantasy, Dystopian, Romance, Historical Fiction, Action Adventure, Chick Lit, you name it, we cover it. The blog is a mix of our reviews, plus memes, cover reveals, tours, hops and giveaways so hopefully our content is varied enough to keep people coming back. Plus Ali does these amazing videos as well, which is a nice break from reading text! We are always working on unique content for the blog, so please keep visiting! :)

The Fifty Shades Trilogy. Again. I already had it for Kindle but since I'm a compulsive book buyer and they were all in Costco I just couldn't resist. Insanely Addictive books. Highly recommend.

For My Kindle I Got:

The Crossroads Saga for the Upcoming Blog Tour

and Lend I got Reason to Breathe, which I already finished [review coming up]

and last I got Shade, which is the second book in the Shade Series, really exited 'bout this one :)

The Mexican Diaries Part 2

5 de Mayo? I went shopping yesterday and in every store the cashier told me happy 5 de Mayo. In Spanish. And it is always amusing, because they always say it in Spanish with a cute accent. My point is: I have absolutely no idea why people in the US celebrate this... I just don't get it, us Mexicans don't celebrate it! it isn't a date even worthy of missing school or a day at work! like, at all. I mean yeah, we won a mini battle against France but that was after we lost a bunch more battles and, well... we don't celebrate, lol x)

All the 'happy 5 de mayos' reminded me that I hadn't made another one of this posts, so I drove up the hills and took a picture of the part of Mexico in which I live [seriously low quality picture on the Left]

and the other day I saw one of my favorite Mexican movies of all time in Target! which brings me to my next point: Mexican Movies are great, I love them and if you understand Spanish or don't mind subtitles I recommend you watch them, we have this really dark sense of humor, even in the most cruel of situations we can still make a dry joke so if you feel like this is your thing, let me recommend a few movies for you:

and now totally out of the blue, three announcements: I built a mini bookshelf for my mini books [you know those pocket size books that totally mess up your normal shelve, example Jennifer Echols books? well, I made a mini book shelve for these books for one of my classes. I went to see Cirque Du Soleil, this time I saw Totem, as always, these shows are totally worth it. And I got bangs. Indeed, totally out of the blue....

 and the Cat LITERALLY ate my Math Homework...

My favorite bar in all Mexico: [they have the most delirious Margaritas and Martinis in the whole world!] oh yeah, in Mexico you can go out clubbing, drinking, smoking and vote at the age of 18.

My Review:

This book is Fifty Shades of Grey for Young Adults, no kidding, they are seriously alike. Note: I do not say this in a negative way. At all. I read this one before Fifty Shades of Grey and I must say I consider it like the in between, from a YA book to an adult book. Let's leave Fifty Shades for a moment and focus on this book:

Sam is a girl that has had to deal with a lot of complicated things are a very young age: her sister, an alcoholic mother, a father that doesn't seem to want her, and a part of her past that haunts her. Then young millionaire Collins steps into the picture along with a new job and a mysterious caller, and thing seem to start getting better.

Collins himself is a lot to take in, since he seems ta have huge problems of his own, and Sam is there to save him and help him get through this issues. This is what I most love about the book, that both character were saving and helping each other, there was no "I am the damsel in distress and you must help me." Also I really enjoyed that all of the supportive characters seemed to have their own little stories and where  basically very complete characters.

The only downside of the book was that sometimes the dialog between character seemed a little bit off, but I got past that, and am I anxiously awaiting for the next book in the series? YES!
Like I said, this book was Fifty Shades for YA, I really enjoyed and am looking forward for the next one in the series :)
