Not exactly disturbing... just ZOMG weird. The ending really threw me off balance and I was left with a WTF face.
another disturbing book was Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, which I had to read for school and is about a giant cockroach. I hate cockroaches, they should all just vanish from the earth. That book gave me nightmares.
.... hope you guys never had to read books about cockroaches.

OH MY GOSH! I read Metamorphosis last year in english... and yeah it was a bit disturbing. The overall story was excellent, I just didn't like the idea of a cockroach. :P
