Summary
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along.
With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

My Review:
Nora's ordinary life takes a big twist the moment she's paired up with a new guy in her biology class. Patch, the guy we just Love to hate, cocky, arrogant, mysterious, and sexy. Patch seems to know a lot of things about Nora, and I mean important and personal things, which totally freaks her out, and on top of that, he is everywhere, wherever she looks, wherever she goes, he's there, so naturally, her guard goes up, but there's just something about him, that makes her what him close... very close.
Hush Hush is by far one of the best Debut Novels I've ever read. I often found myself smiling at Patch's smart-A. comments raising my hands to stop Nora from going to a few places... always with him of course, and wide eyed by a thrilling ending that hurt, was a wild ride, and a decision that took a Lot of courage.
The story is amazing, Nora was a great and believable character, it had some hot scenes, and Patch's uniqueness and my constant struggle to decide whether he was on the bad side or the good side - a decision he actually faces. It was as enjoyable, delicious, and the same amount of pleasure a good box of chocolates can bring when eating slow, on a nice evening, and a sweet breeze.
A Must Read, Must Have, Must Love.
Coach: "All right, Patch. let's say you're at a party. the room is full of girls of all shapes and sizes. You see blondes, brunettes, redheads, a few girl with black hair. Some are talkive, while other appear shy. You've one girl who fits your profile - attractive, intelligent and vulnerable. How do you let her know you're interested? "
Patch: "Single her out. Talk to her. "
Coach: "Good. Now for the big question - how do you know if she's game or if she wants you to move on? "
Patch: "I study her. I figure out what she's thinking and feeling. She's not going to come right out and tell me, which is why I have to pay attention. Does she turn her body toward mine? Does she hold my eyes, then look away? Does she bite her lip and play with her hair, the way Nora is doing right now?"
"You smell good, too,” said Patch
"It’s called a shower.” I was staring straight ahead. When he didn’t answer, I turned sideways. “Soap. Shampoo. Hot water.”
"Naked. I know the drill."
This is the next book on my reading list, so this is very well timed! :D
