My Review:
When I think of Susan’s Colasanti Novels, I usually have one Word to describe them: Cute. Or at least int When It Happens and Take Me There, that’s the adjective. A cute story, with cure characters and a cute ending.
Though the characters are cute, I think that the most appealing thing to Colasanti’s novel is that, they do sound like real teenage voices, and the situations that surround me are all normal teenage problems (I think I’m going overboard with the word teenager, It sounds like a foreign concept, even though I am one… ^^) yeah, everything seems, normal (apparently normal is a foreign concept to me as well xD).
The story is told by three points of view, by each one of the main characters, Rhiannon, Nicole and James. I LOVED that I would read a situation from, I don’t know, Rhiannon’s point of view and the same event but, from Nicole’s point of view and see just how different it would seem to both of them. A few scenes had me cracking up, and others feeling sympathy for the characters.
I think this novel is a fun and light read, with a lot of clichés (I LOVE clichés ^^), ups and downs, love, and special character that will become your best friends when this novel ends. A sweet, moving, and gentle story.
"Even in a bad situation, there's always a positive side. Even if you can't see it yet."
